Could you be any cuter, Bear? You're so funny right now. You love playing with your laptop and hearing the letter sounds. You say "Ahhhh" when you press the A and love hearing the computer say "M. Mouse. Squeak, sq-squeak!" It makes you laugh so hard.

You get such funny ideas sometimes. Like putting your fruit snacks on Mommy's knees before you eat them. Silly boy.

And boy, don't you wish Mommy would leave the top off her drink more often! It's just not right that you'll say "soda" but you won't say "Momma." I understand you hear "Mommy's Soda" frequently, but could you repeat "Momma" just once? I know you can say it, I hear "Momma-ma-ma-ma" coming from you when you don't want to go to sleep! I suppose soon enough you'll be saying it all the time, but it can't come soon enough!

Haircut Day Mr. Merrick! You are so cute with the shaggy hair, but it really needed a trim!

Please note the sides where you almost lost an ear! While Grisette was trying to trim over your ears, you snapped your head to the side. Luckily she just hacked off your baby sideburn and nothing else. So she trimmed off the other side to match. It leaves you with an interesting hairline but at least you have your cute little ears!

Dear Merrick,

You really just love being outside. No matter the weather, it's where you'd rather be. The summer hasn't been that warm yet so we went out to play in full sweatsuit IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY. Unheard of!


You are such a fun little boy and Mommy loves spending this summer with you. It's amazing watching you each day and seeing all the changes as they happen. I think we need a haircut soon though!

Dear Merrick,

You LOVED the Fireman's Parade this year. You sat with Grandpa and watched for two whole hours! Holy cow! You really liked the marching bands, well the drum sections especially. You were not that thrilled when all of the Webster Fire trucks decided to sound their sirens at once, but you still made the "VRROOOM" sound which has come to be your favorite lately.

You waved to the firemen and women and all the kids walking in the parade and yelled at the kids who weren't paying attention to you. Because how could they not take notice of such a cute little booger?

You had such a good time with your Grandpa!

Bear,

You really love animals. You aren't such a big fan of the zoo yet. Probably because you're always stuck in the stroller. Mommy doesn't want to end up on the news for having the little boy in the monkey cages. And yes, you of all toddlers could find a way in where even the animals can't get out!

You love the tiger and polar bears the most. I think it's because they make noises that you like!

Luckily Mommy bought a membership so we can go whenever we like. Although with the weather being as uncooperative as it's been, it hasn't been as frequently as you might have liked, or disliked!
