Guess Who is Sick?

That’s right, little man. You are! A double ear infection and pneumonia! Poor little guy! You’re as happy as can be throughout the day. But look out at night! You’re up from midnight until 4 or 5 am! Mommy wants you to feel better, not just so you’re better, but so she can get some sleep!

You’d never know you were so sick by looking at you! You swam like a champ on Thursday night with Uncle Bryan.

You’re such a happy little boy, Bear. Even when you’re sick!

Who Loves the Snow?

You do! You would be outside every time that door opened if Mommy let you! It’s too funny. You wake Mommy up telling her “Snow! Snow outside!” Yes, Merrick, there is snow outside. You’re so clever.

You aren’t afraid or even hesitant. You just jump right in, flopping face first into the snow. I can’t even believe how big you are getting!

You’re just such a handsome boy, even when you’re pulling your gloves off and digging in the snow!

Merry Christmas

Dear Merrick,

You had yet another amazing Christmas morning. You were so excited to see your new tractor from Santa. You’d been telling Mommy that Santa says “Ho Ho Ho!” for the past month and that Santa was bringing you a “track-tore.” You are the cutest thing ever.

You were so excited Christmas morning. You opened presents with Mommy and Daddy and really would’ve been happy to play with your tractor all day. After you were done opening presents, you went with Daddy to Nana’s house. I think you liked the paper as much as the presents!

After you were done opening presents there, we went to Uncle Bryan’s to see what Santa brought you there. You helped push Grandma Caroline’s wheelchair.

You loved your dump truck from Aunt Kerin, Matthew, James and Jess.

You had such a wonderful Christmas and you’re still opening presents, two days later!

My Little Christmas Monster

Dear Merrick,

You are such a big boy. Last year at this time, you were tiptoe-ing around with Mommy’s help. This year you’re running full speed ahead. We went to Christmas Eve Mass and unlike last year, you were not the easiest little boy to contain. You wanted to get down and run all over.

You are such a happy little boy though. You played in the basement of church for half of the mass and were happy as a clam.

Mommy loves you so much, Little Bear. You are such a clever little boy and every day you have something new to teach me.

Could you be any cuter, Bear? You're so funny right now. You love playing with your laptop and hearing the letter sounds. You say "Ahhhh" when you press the A and love hearing the computer say "M. Mouse. Squeak, sq-squeak!" It makes you laugh so hard.

You get such funny ideas sometimes. Like putting your fruit snacks on Mommy's knees before you eat them. Silly boy.

And boy, don't you wish Mommy would leave the top off her drink more often! It's just not right that you'll say "soda" but you won't say "Momma." I understand you hear "Mommy's Soda" frequently, but could you repeat "Momma" just once? I know you can say it, I hear "Momma-ma-ma-ma" coming from you when you don't want to go to sleep! I suppose soon enough you'll be saying it all the time, but it can't come soon enough!
